When you thought you'd seen it all: Green Tea Potato Chips!!
Green Tea Stones anyone?
Once the strict domain of vegan yoghurt weaving health freaks, "Green Tea" is now truly everywhere. And it's no longer the healthy sugarless caffeine-less and above all tasteless fluid it once was either. There's creamy 'green tea shakes' with whipped cream, honey and almond flakes on top that would make any self respecting health nut turn over in his grave. (See center picture).
Aside from dozens of brands of green tea now readily available at any 7-Eleven or petrol station convenience store, we now also have green tea ice-cream, green tea cakes and green tea cookies.
If only the list ended there. But it does not. A complete green-tea takeover of absolutely any food or non-food item is taking place. For example we have green tea shampoo, green tea body lotion and green tea facial scrub. And also the list of foods with green tea in it gets more and more outrageous. A Green Tea and Tuna Sandwich anyone? I'm NOT making this up. And the one thing I saw at Tesco Lotus yesterday that prompted me writing this thing: GREEN TEA LAY'S POTATO CHIPS!!! You wouldn't believe it if I didn't take a picture of it. Someone has to stand up and stop the green tea avalanche!
Green tea is bogging. Give me a proper cup of British tea any day. Milk and two please.

say what you will, the green tea potato chips are tasty! especially after you've been drinking a few Changs...
for my favorite drinking snack, it would have to be a tie between the wasabi flavored shrimp chips and the tom yum flavored Lay's...mmmmmm, salty goodness...
